Camps organized by the Dept of Community Medicine serve as primary care for village populations which
otherwise would not travel to healthcare centers. We screen patients for hypertension, diabetes, COPD, cardiac
disease, malnutrition, etc. We also provide patient education on diet, exercise, and management of chronic
conditions. Additionally, we inform patients how to prevent the spread of vector-borne and communicable
diseases. Patients requiring specialized treatment are referred to our secondary and tertiary centers.
